My name is Barley, I'm technically considered a tall grass (I'm related to the grass family, you may know of them). Similar to Rye, I'm an old grain dating back to Ancient Egypt & Greece, however I'm the 4th largest produced grain in the world (Rye is number 7th). When compared to other ancient grains, I'm usually lower in fat and calories but higher in trace mineral making me very popular among breakfast cereals.
